Summary of the Role:

The Sr. Specialist Compensation role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and management of the organizations compensation programs to attract, retain and motivate top talent across the United States and Canada. This role ensures that all rewards programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with the company’s strategic direction. This role will support in the design and implementation of compensation strategies that align with the organization’s goals, developing and maintaining compensation policies, salary structures and pay grades, aligning compensation practices with performance, retention and talent acquisition goals. The Sr. Compensation Specialist partners closely with People & Culture, Finance, and business leaders to administer base pay, incentive plans, job evaluations, market pricing, annual compensation reviews, and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Design, evaluate and implement compensation structures, salary bands and incentive plans.
  • Maintain accurate compensation documentation, records and process guidelines. Support in the development of Compensation policies and procedures.
  • Oversee job evaluations, salary surveys and compensation analysis.
  • Provide compensation consultation on new hires, promotions and internal mobility.
  • Oversee the annual headcount budget process.
  • Oversee the annual performance management process, working closely with the P&C team on bonus plan design, policy, calculation
  • Actively participate and support global projects and initiatives.
  • Lead and administer the annual performance and compensation review cycle, partnering closely with the People & Culture team to design and manage incentive programs, including bonus plan development, policy governance, bonus calculations, and merit increase planning and execution, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, internal equity, and compensation philosophy.
  • Generate regular compensation reports, metrics and dashboards for management.
You bring these skills, experience & education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of compensation, total rewards, HR, finance, or related analytical experience preferred.
  • Experience administering annual compensation review processes and incentive programs.
  • Experience working with HRIS, compensation management tools, and advanced Excel functions.
  • Power BI reporting and dashboard development experience.
  • Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian compensation practices and pay-related regulations.
  • Experience supporting annual merit and bonus cycles.
  • Experience with job architecture, job leveling, salary structures, salary surveys, preferably Mercer methodology and market data.
