The Senior Digital Applications Specialist plays a critical role in enabling digital transformation by translating business needs into scalable, secure, and efficient digital applications. This role ensures that key business processes are automated, digitized, and continuously improved using the Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure, RPA and other similar technologies increasing productivity and providing business value. The role incorporates both business understanding and development skills, while ensuring the support, governance and continuous improvement for the existing solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance digital business applications and process automations using Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, Microsoft Azure, RPA and similar tools to meet evolving business requirements.
- Proactively propose new technologies, build proof-of-concept prototypes to demonstrate feasibility and business value
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, analyse business workflows, translate ideas into functional specifications, and propose effective digital and automation solutions.
- Provide support for digital applications, resolve incidents, coordinate with L2 external vendors when required, and ensure service continuity.
- Monitor performance, usability, and availability of applications; perform proactive checks, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
- Manage access controls, perform access reviews, and ensure applications comply with IT governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate IT delivery projects related to digital solutions when external partners are involved.
- Manage the regional portfolio of digital applications, ensuring alignment with business priorities, proper documentation, and lifecycle governance.
You bring these skills, experience & education
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in digital application development and support
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Experience with process automation such as UIPath or similar RPA tools
- Familiar with AI/ML concepts and open to exploring AI-enabled tools to support rapid prototyping and digital transformation
- Solid business understanding and the ability to convert requirements into working solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with scripting, automation, API integrations in Python, JavaScript is preferable
- Experience working in an operational (run & support) as well as project-based environment
- Fluency in English
