Key responsibilities

Manage all legal and compliance matters across the IMEA region, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Provide expert guidance to senior management and stakeholders while driving risk mitigation and governance excellence.

  • Deliver strategic legal and compliance advice to regional leadership and business teams.

  • Oversee commercial, corporate, governance, and employment law matters.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex, multi-jurisdictional contracts; develop contract strategies.

  • Manage customer claims, warranty issues, product liability cases, and legal disputes.

  • Conduct internal compliance investigations and implement corrective measures.

  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate legal and compliance risks across the region.

  • Track regulatory developments and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

  • Deliver legal and compliance training programs.  

  • Develop and implement internal policies, processes, and governance frameworks.

  • Ensure corporate housekeeping for IMEA subsidiaries.

  • Manage external counsel and liaise with regulatory authorities.

You bring these skills, experience & education
 
  • Degree in law from reputable university
  • Qualified with a bar association
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience as in-house counsel in international company, preferably in manufacturing, packaging or FMCG
  • Work experience in international/regional law firm a plus
  • Experience in relevant IMEA jurisdictions
