Civil Engineer
At SIG Querétaro we are going through a phase of expansion, and we are looking for a Civil Engineer to supervise the construction of our plant growth projects covering not only construction aspects but also electrical and mechanical installations. You will be responsible for supervising and monitoring the execution of the works throughout the entire project, ensuring they comply with local legislation, quality standards, and SIG's interests. This role is key to ensuring our expansion is delivered to the highest technical and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead locally the implementation and supervision of all civil and building engineering services across production, offices, and other civil facility projects for SIG in Querétaro.
- Develop and lead civil engineering technical solutions for SIG's growth projects using AutoCAD and working with 3D construction management BIM models.
- Supervise and monitor the execution of the works, ensuring compliance with local regulations, quality and safety standards, and project specifications.
- Monitor construction progress against the project schedule and budget, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.
- Coordinate and follow up with contractors, verifying that their work meets technical specifications and agreed timelines.
- Collaborate with and support the Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager.
- Provide local support on civil engineering projects, serving as the point of contact and consultant for all SIG projects in Querétaro.
- Represent clients and liaise with construction authorities.
Requirements
- Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Architecture. Preferably with project management experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in construction / site supervision.
- Advanced English (required).
- Microsoft Office (Advanced).
- AutoCAD (Advanced).
- BIM (Advanced).
- Navisworks.
- Power BI (Desirable).
