Job responsibilities:

Responsible for leading the design team in developing innovative and functional packaging machinery, overseeing the entire design process from concept to production, ensuring designs meet technical specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and market trends. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership:
  • Lead and manage a team of mechanical, electrical, and automation engineers to develop new packaging machine concepts and designs aligned with company goals and market needs. 
  • Set design standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all packaging machine designs. 
  • Foster a creative and collaborative design environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement. 
• Product Development:
  • Work closely with product management to identify customer requirements, market trends, and develop product roadmaps for packaging machines. 
  • Oversee the design process from concept generation, prototyping, testing, and design validation through to production release. 
  • Ensure designs incorporate features for efficiency, reliability, maintainability, and safety standards.

• Technical Expertise:
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of packaging machinery design principles, including mechanical systems, electrical controls, automation technologies, and materials handling. 
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate innovative solutions into new designs. 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of design concepts into production. 
• Project Management:
  • Manage design project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of projects. 
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure smooth project execution. 
• Customer Focus:
  • Understand customer needs and design packaging machinery that meets specific application requirements. 
  • Collaborate with sales teams to present design concepts to customers and address technical inquiries. 
  • Incorporate customer feedback into design iterations to optimize product performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in packaging machinery design, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, and automation principles. 
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and design tools. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify design challenges and develop effective solutions. 
• Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including the parent company

Qualification:  BE Mechanical
