SQF Technician

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

As our SQF Technician, you will be at the forefront of our Food Safety Program, overseeing crucial tasks such as documentation Control, HACCP administration, new hire orientation, Internal Audit System, and non-conformance mitigation. What sets this role apart is the opportunity to support the department's administration as assigned, with the Quality Manger or Quality Engineer stepping in when needed, providing a unique blend of hands-on and strategic responsibilities. 

Location: Peachtree City, Ga.

Day Shift (8hrs)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, administer, train, and maintain applicable food safety policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Lead Audits Internal and External.
  • Assigns Peachtree’s control document numbers.
  • Updates and maintains all SQF registers on a minimum annual basis.
  • Maintain accuracy in creating, reviewing, and revising all control documents. 
  • Supports the department by maintaining, verifying, and validating control documents.
  • Administrative duties for HACCP and Internal Audit programs.
  • Performs New Hire Orientation to meet SQF requirements.
  • Support regulatory and compliance regarding people's or product safety.
  • Support the department regarding supplies and inventory while continually seeking ways to reduce costs.
  • Provide administrative support for Employee Safety Programs.
  • Provide communication for SQF and Safety notices, training, etc.
  • Performs relief duties when needed in the QA lab.
  • Develop educational materials.
  • Conduct quality training sessions and workshops if required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred or two to three years of relevant experience. SQF Practitioner, HACCP Certified, and Qualified Internal Auditor. e.
