Maintenance Technician
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
$1,200 Sign On Bonus
12 Hour Rotating day shift
**Starting at 24.00/hr
Maintenance Technicians support day-to-day operations of all machines, equipment, and areas of the facility. They perform preventive maintenance, provide technical assistance, assist with production equipment upgrades, rebuilds, fabricate, modify, assemble, and repair a variety of production components/assemblies/systems, utilizing various equipment and tools.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an at-will employer, SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.Ensures strict conformance to all applicable codes electrical & OSHA safety requirements for facility and equipment, as well as SIG safety guidelines.Troubleshoots & repairs production machine equipment and systems.Provides input to preventive & predictive maintenance efforts.Effectively reads and interprets electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, & mechanical schematics for troubleshooting.Contributes ideas & support to capital planning, lean manufacturing, & continuous improvement initiativesMaintain maintenance programs & files. Documents daily activities.Provides mechanical and electrical support of routine & preventive maintenance.Problem solving & continuous improvement resource for programming variable speed drives, electrical, pneumatic controls, mechanical systems, etc.Provides support of departmental standards for safety, sanitation & housekeepingSupports the introduction of new technology.Responsible for reporting food/product safety problems or risks to a supervisor or manager immediately or take action if possible.Other duties as assigned.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
EDUCATION:
Associate degree in industrial or electrical maintenance technology or5 to 7 years of related maintenance experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Ability to solve electrical/ hydraulic/mechanical/ pneumatic issues.Solid electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and technical knowledge is required.Understanding of electric motors, hydraulic systems, conveyors, gears, pneumatics.Ability to use and operate basic maintenance and repair tools and machining equipment.Ability to accurately use precision measurement instruments to check parts, check tolerances, check alignment of equipment.Injection molding machine troubleshooting experience is a plus.Effectively reads and interprets electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, & mechanical schematics.Knowledge and ability to understand basic drawings, equipment manuals, parts lists, and equipment instructionsHands-on metal fabrication experience: welding experience is a plus.Ability to work safely and follow regulatory and Company Policies and Guidelines.Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and strong team player.Ability to work carefully in a precision tooling and precision product environment.Have the desire and ability to generate innovative ideas, provide recommendations, and be flexible.
