Lead Operator

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

12 hr. Day Shift

Responsible for guiding the shift activities within the assigned production area to execute the Production Schedule and ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time. The Tier 1 Technician fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the shift with administrative input and guidance as well as technical assistance where possible.
• Generate work orders to reflect production planning.
• Print labels when needed.
• Issue materials to production orders and Report Ops Complete as needed.
• Plan and Allocate resources to the manufacturing lines .
• Ensure all Manufacturing lines have the supplies and resources needed to work at their highest efficiency levels.
• Ensure proper training for all machine operators. Utilize Trainers as needed.
• Coordinate communication between QC and Production area. Ensure Supervisor is updated on activities throughout the shift
• Assist Production Technician/Operator to maintain highest possible OEE on the lines.
• Fill in for operators during lunch and break times as needed, moving crates, filling hoppers and adjusting equipment.
• Record production results at the end of the shift and update Tier 2 boards/graphs

• Ensure that all personnel are trained and follows management Systems, Procedures and Work Instructions

• Ensure that all personnel comply with all OSHA, Fire Safety, EPA and other regulatory guidelines and rules.
• Ensure that all personnel comply with all Company Operations, Personnel, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor or management.

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• EDUCATION:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Industrial or Electrical Maintenance Technology preferred or 5 - 7 years’ experience will be considered with Vocational Training Program or Military equivalent.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Ability to lead a team to work safely and follow Regulatory and Company Policies and Guidelines.
• Positive attitude, cooperative nature, and strong leadership
• Focused on details and accuracy of reporting
• Able to communicate clearly and decisively to the team members and to next shift
• Good understanding of product lines
• Background with leadership experience in technical fields is required
