The Injection Molding Supervisor is responsible for directing molding assistants in the areas of production, scheduling, safety, maintenance and quality. |
Supervises and coordinates activities of mc assts engaged in molding plastic products, applying knowledge of molding machine setup and operating techniques and production machining methods: Reads operating logs to identify inoperative injection or blow molding machines, determines reasons for machine malfunction, and arranges for machine repair |
Supervise and direct all assigned Injection Molding Department personnel. |
Reviews production schedules and work orders, and assigns duties to workers according to order priorities. |
Executes daily production tasks and supervises work in accordance with the production schedule to achieve production targets. |
Troubleshoot and adjust molding parameters to maintain quality and maximum product output. |
Ensure work is conducted in line, completing all necessary risk assessments and paperwork as required. |
Provide basic training to the machine assistance and helpers. |
Examines molded products from each machine to verify conformance to specifications. |
Undertake pre-planned maintenance in accordance with the PPM schedule for all injection molding machines. |
Reduce Scrap during color changes and material changes and molding defects (Short Shots, Splay, Gate point, Color Streaks, etc.) |
Studies quality control reports to identify product defects and directs machine assistants to adjust machines to eliminate flaws. |
Respond to problems by performing corrective technical or mechanical solutions. |
Maintain plant hygiene and safety on the shop floor. |
Documentation related to Injection Molding. |
Adherence to the health and safety practices stipulated by the plant head. |
Ensure cleanliness and maintain safe work environment within molding department |
Assisting to manage all maintenance functions, including but not limited to preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on all injection molding equipment |
