Value Stream Coordinator

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The Value Stream Coordinator coordinates production, drives continues improvement, equipes the team to meet the set targets and ensures good team work in the Value Stream Department.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect products and orders to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Direct setup and adjustments of machines.
  • Estimate requirements for job assignment completion using production schedules.
  • Ensures orders are fully completed.
  • Interpret specifications and job orders to workers and assigns duties.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommend measures to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist technicians in solving work problems.
  • Suggest ways to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintain time and production records. 
  • Input data in the BaaN system and Countdown report.
  • Analyze weekly inventory levels for traceability and accuracy.
  • Applies and supports all Lean Initatives including Kaizen events, TPM, Set-up reduction, and 5S.
  • Highlight critical issues of value stream to the leadership team.

 

 

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three (3) to five (5) years related experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Experience with plastic extrusion and/or injection molding. Level 3 or above in Films, Fitments or BIB &SP is preferred.
  • The ability to excel in a fast paced, high-energy environment with constant interface with people.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
    • Frequently standing, walking and sitting.
    • Frequently required the use of hands to finger, feel, reach or handle machinery.
    • Frequently bend, stoop and reach.
    • Visual Acuity (VA).

    • Exposure to variable noise levels.
