Training Manager

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

The Training Manager is responsible for the TWI (Training Within Industry) and Pay for Skills Programs in the Northlake plant.  This role is responsible for the success of these programs across all Value Streams and new hire employees.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement training programs in conjunction with the Value Stream Manager incorporating lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
  • Evaluate employees and identify weaknesses across all the Value Streams and develop a robust training plan according to needs.
  • Based on research and SIG’s Succession Planning Program, plan and implement training programs that will prepare employees for the next level of their career path for all hourly employees.
  • Lead, teach, onboard and support trainers in the production floor.
  • Build quarterly and annual training program with the Operations team.
  • Prepare budget for training programs and workshops.
  • Encourage employees for training.
  • Track employee success and progress.
  • Manage the production of program marketing material in collaboration with marketing and P&C teams.
  • Assist with new hire orientation trainings and program.
  • Implement and present reports on training program KPIs
