Title: Senior Field Service Engineer
Worksite Location: 200 West North Avenue, Northlake, IL 60164
Duties: SIG Combibloc, Inc. seeks Senior Field Service Engineer in Northlake, IL to plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure the effective operation of SIG Combibloc line equipment. Promote improvement of line performance and efficiency as part of continuous improvement methodology. Oversees the junior Field Service Engineers and functions as a team leader. Performs a variety of complex tasks and/or may lead a team in the performance of a variety of tasks that are often routine. Implement and manage hands-on daily activities of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Provide superior reports to the back office. Plan, coordinate, and execute planned preventive major maintenance activities to a high standard and in line with agreed procedures, ensuring effective operation of equipment. Provide production support post-maintenance to bring the line to pre-maintenance efficiencies or highest while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve both mechanical and automation malfunctions and breakdowns. Conduct systematic root cause analysis of problems to ensure permanent resolution and/or escalate with a proper problem description and documentation when the root cause is not identified. Handle claims and provide technical support and guidance to escalated claims per the claims process and through the quality department, including root cause analysis. Install rebuilding kits according to procedures and reinstate equipment into production environment with a high level of customer satisfaction. Analyze, identify, and take action on system performance issues, implementing correct and approved operational improvements. Reports to Northlake HQ, but requires 20% domestic or international travel to other locations as required by the manager. Benefits: 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off.
Requirements: Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 4 years of experience in an equipment manufacturing service-based industry including troubleshooting on equipment. 4 years of experience with carton and packaging technology. 4 years of experience with Aseptic packaging technology.

Salary: $80,000
