Quality Coordinator

 

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE

COMPENSATION: $70k-$80k

 

 

The Quality Coordinator ensures that products manufactured meet internal quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. This role involves monitoring production processes, inspecting products, analyzing defects, leading corrective actions, and working with cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement on the manufacturing floor. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the required Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) / process parameters linked to the product/equipment compliance is actively monitored and managed.
  • Support the use of the Quality skill matrix at the operational level, ensuring adequate training regarding critical quality procedures. 
  • Support changes of global valid manufacturing and process specifications in the production process. 
  • Ensure the avoidance / reduction of the occurrence of potential failures through the systematic and comprehensible application and use of the Process FMEA and Quality Control Plan.
  • Manage and control internal complaints based on a structured problem solving (SPS) process. 
  • Ensure compliance with quality and food safety management systems. 
  • Assist with statistical process control (SPC), control charts, and other quality monitoring tools. 
  • Support root cause analysis related to customer complaints. 
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement on the shop floor. 
  • Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, non-conformance logs, and corrective action documentation. 
  • Prepares, reviews, and maintains Certificates of Conformance (CoC) to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and internal manufacturing quality requirements.
  • Manages retained samples, ensuring proper identification, storage conditions, traceability, and availability in accordance with quality and customer requirements.

 

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or 3 years ( combination of vocational and professional exeperince
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • MS Office (Intermediate)
  • Strong background in applying tools like Process FMEA and Quality Control Plans to proactively identify risks, reduce failures, and improve manufacturing processes 
  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC), control charts, and quality monitoring tools to analyze process performance and drive data-based decisions.
  • Experience managing internal and customer complaints using structured problem-solving (SPS) methodologies and conducting thorough root cause analysis to implement corrective actions.
  • Ability to support and implement quality skill matrices, train teams on critical procedures, and promote a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement on the plant floor.
  • Skilled in maintaining accurate quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance logs, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), and managing retained samples with full traceability.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and food safety standards (BRC, SQF, FDA) desirable

Compensation: Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors, including relevant leadership experience, qualifications, education, skills, internal equity, and overall business considerations.
