People & Culture Coordinator

 

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Salary: $60k-$70k 

The People & Culture Coordinator plays a key role in delivering an exceptional employee experience by supporting critical HR functions including onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, and data integrity. As a frontline representative of the People & Culture team, this position ensures seamless coordination of day-to-day processes while contributing to a culture of transparency, inclusion, and high performance. This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about aligning people processes with organizational goals. The People & Culture Coordinator will collaborate closely with leadership, talent acquisition, payroll, and external vendors to support a wide range of employee lifecycle activities and HR initiatives. The Sr People & Culture Generalist fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of new hire onboarding, ensuring employees complete all required paperwork and understand company policies before training begins.
  • Facilitate a smooth transition for new hires, reinforcing company values and culture from day one.
  • Serve as the liaison between external staffing vendors and internal leadership for temporary employee placement, assignment changes, and cancellations.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Talent Acquisition teams to manage invoice processing and prepare accurate monthly staffing reports.
  • Act as a resource for employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and workplace best practices.
  • Partner with P&C leadership to address employee concerns and recommend appropriate people solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Promote a positive employee relations environment by supporting conflict resolution and reinforcing fair workplace practices.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll-related changes including new hires, promotions, terminations, and transfers.
  • Maintain compliant and up-to-date employee records and ensure documentation supports payroll and audit requirements.
  • Support administration of leave of absence processes in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure employees are informed of benefits programs, policy updates, wellness initiatives, and engagement opportunities.
  • Maintain visibility of organizational culture through bulletin boards, compliance postings, and shared communication platforms.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of employee engagement events and recognition programs across the Northlake Campus.
  • Maintain regular P&C reports such as headcount, attendance, training records, and key performance indicators to support data-driven decision-making.

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred. 
  • 2+ years of experience in human resources, employee engagement, payroll or related coordination roles
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws and people process.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
