Global Senior Commercial Excellence Manager

 

 
Responsible for driving and enabling commercial excellence initiatives across our global operations with the objective of optimizing sales performance, enhancing customer satisfaction, and maximizing profitability.
 
Key responsibilities

 

  • Individual contributor and key enabler to translate business objectives into tactical initiatives within sales organization. That includes development and implementation a global commercial excellence initiatives aligned with the company's overall business objectives, e.g. margin improvement programs

  • Drive continuous improvement in sales effectiveness, revenue growth, and profitability through the deployment of best practices, standardized processes, and performance metrics, e.g. running portfolio analysis and derive action plans and track against them.

  • Collaborate with regional and local sales teams to identify areas of improvement and support the implementation, e.g. host account review workshops. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, operations, and IT, to ensure alignment and integration of commercial excellence initiatives.

  • Development and deployment of sales enablement tools, including training programs, sales playbooks, and salesforce effectiveness tools, to enhance the capabilities of the sales organization, e.g. train-the-trainer program.

  • Analyze and identify pricing strategies, discount structures, and contract negotiation guidelines to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. Implement robust sales performance tracking mechanisms and provide regular presentations, reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and challenges.

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by fostering a data-driven and results-oriented mindset across the global sales organization.

  • Stay updated with market and industry trends, competitive landscape, emerging technologies, and best practices in commercial excellence to identify revenue growth opportunities.

 

You bring these skills, experience & education
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • At least 5-7 years in sales, business operations or commercial excellence roles, preferably in a global organization.

  • Experience in the implementation and adoption of CRM systems, salesforce automation tools, and analytics performance. 

  • Deal negotiation experience and implementation of pricing strategies is required.

  • Strategic thinker with business acumen Ability to translate business objectives into actionable commercial excellence initiatives. Experience in driving sales performance improvement initiatives, including sales process optimization, salesforce effectiveness, and sales enablement.

  • Analytical skills - Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.

  • Project Management -  Ability to lead and execute multiple projects simultaneously w/in a global matrix organization.
