Corporate Treasurer & Tax Sr. Manager
Location: Northlake, IL Workmodel: Hybrid Compensation: $140,000–$165,000 + 20% Bonus Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as location, experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. We are seeking an experienced Corporate Treasurer & Tax Sr. Manager to oversee cash and liquidity management, tax strategy, risk, and compliance for our Americas North region (USA, Canada, and Mexico).
In this pivotal role, you’ll bridge local operations with our global strategy, ensuring optimal treasury performance, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management. - Own liquidity & cash flow: Manage daily cash positioning, cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and bank payments across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
- Provide visibility: Deliver timely, accurate reporting on cash, liquidity, and risk positions to Group Treasury and local leadership.
- Ensure compliance: Implement Group Treasury policies while adapting to local regulations and business needs.
- Manage risk: Execute foreign exchange (FX) strategies and other risk management initiatives in alignment with Group directives.
- Strengthen partnerships: Maintain strong relationships with banking partners, aligning with SIG’s broader banking strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with accounting, AP/AR, procurement, and other internal teams for seamless cash and liquidity management.
- Lead tax operations: Together with US/CAN and MEX Tax Managers, oversee U.S. federal, state, and local tax planning, compliance, reporting, audit defense, and ASC 740 tax accounting.
- Drive compliance culture: Work closely with Legal, Internal Audit, and HR to uphold corporate compliance frameworks, lead risk assessments, and ensure adherence to financial and regulatory requirements.
- Lead & develop teams: Manage and mentor 1–3 direct reports, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and operational excellence.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA designation required.
- 10+ years of combined Treasury & Tax experience in a multinational environment, with hands-on U.S. and Canadian income and indirect tax expertise.
- Proven leadership track record (10+ years), managing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
- Advanced skills in cash forecasting, liquidity management, FX risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with ERP systems and strong financial systems acumen.
- Strong business insight and a proactive approach to driving efficiencies and eliminating expense leakages.
- Collaborative mindset – able to work effectively with IT, People & Culture, Legal, and other internal stakeholders.
