Senior Specialist Digitalization and Automation(f/m/d)
Digitalization and process automation is an important step for the manufacturing industry in order to be able to continue working cost-effectively in complex processes in times of an aging workforce and a high turnover of new employees. The key enabler for this is connectivity between the manufacturing execution system, the machine control systems, and a large number of subsystems, which must be able to exchange information on production processes.
For this purpose, SIG operates a so-called Service Bus Layer in 11 plants worldwide, which consists of the software components PTC KepServer, PTC ThingWorx, and GE Historian. In addition to connectivity, numerous processes are automated, monitored, and visualized for employees. The manufacturing execution system will be replaced by SAP Digital Manufacturing over the next few years. Therefore the redesign and rebuild of the interface between the manufacturing execution system and service bus layer is urgently necessary. The purpose of the function is to support and continuously develop this service bus layer.

- Development of specifications in close coordination with the business, IT, and system supplier
- Coordination and moderation of meetings to develop functionalities within the Service Bus Layer
- Testing new functionalities in the service bus layer
