Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background and a passion for bringing new products to market? At SIG, you will lead complex R&D projects, coordinate international cross-functional teams, and drive product development from concept through industrialization and launch.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product development and launch projects, ensuring alignment with product strategy, technical requirements, and business objectives.
- Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements in close collaboration with Product Management.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across R&D, Manufacturing, Procurement, Regulatory, and Production within an international matrix organization.
- Manage projects according to SIG's phase-gate methodology, ensuring achievement of key milestones, quality standards, and budget targets.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, manage changes, and drive timely resolution of technical and operational challenges.
- Coordinate design reviews, verification and validation activities, and the transfer of new products to manufacturing and external suppliers.
- Provide transparent project reporting and facilitate decision-making with R&D leadership and senior management.
You bring these skills, experience & education
- A university degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; additional business qualifications are an advantage.
- PMP (PMI) certification or an equivalent project management qualification.
- Proven experience managing complex product development and launch projects using phase-gate methodologies; knowledge of APQP is an advantage.
- Experience leading cross-functional project teams of more than 20 members and managing R&D project budgets exceeding €3 million OPEX.
- Strong technical understanding of product development, verification, validation, and industrialization processes.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate teams and manage stakeholders in an international matrix organization.
- Excellent planning, risk management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
