Junior Automation Engineer
- Design, develop, and implement software solutions for machine automation using programming languages such as Structured Text (IEC61131-3), C++, Python, or other relevant languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and develop software that meets the specified criteria.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, ensuring robust and reliable automation systems.
- Lead and actively participate in the commissioning and testing of automation systems on our aseptic filling machines.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and microbiological engineers to integrate automation solutions seamlessly into machine designs.
- Conduct thorough functional tests to validate software performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to integrate software solutions with existing machine systems.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for software development, commissioning, and testing processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in automation and machine control.
- Propose and implement improvements to existing automation processes for enhanced efficiency and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development for automation systems, with proficiency in programming languages such as Structured Text (IEC61131-3), C++, Python, etc.
- Hands-on experience in commissioning and testing automation solutions on machines.
- Strong understanding of machine control systems, PLC programming, and synchronous servo motion.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, Profibus, Sercos).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel for on-site commissioning of our prototype machines and testing as needed.
