People & Culture Specialist
The People & Culture Specialist is responsible for leading end‑to‑end delivery of best‑practice, values‑based recruitment, partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet production facility hiring needs. Supports workforce capability by coordinating inductions, training, and compliance activities, ensuring all requirements are accurately recorded and maintained within the digital compliance system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The management and coordination of end-to-end recruitment and selections activities.
- Responsible for preparing the writing and posting of job adverts on different recruitment platforms.
- Manage job descriptions, post job advertisements, pre-screen applicants, and shortlist from a high volume of resumes.
- Coordinate the interview process with the hiring manager and candidates; then assist in the interviewing process, specifically with Production facility requirements.
- Organise pre-employment medicals, psychometric tests, VEVO checks, and undertake reference checks on candidates as required.
- Liaise with Department Mangers and candidates regarding the recruitment status updates.
- Prepare and update recruitment records, databases, and candidate records.
- When required, take on a review of the Induction Processes and offer input and expert advice on best practice options.
- Help to ensure the organisation’s WHS training activities are planned to meet current and future organisation and employee needs.
- Coordinate and/or facilitate required compliance training and ensure records are completed through the on-line compliance system (Sentrient).
- Coordinating the organisation’s Culture Survey and Employee Pulse Surveys as required.
- Identifying opportunities to continuously improve the systems of work, processes and service provided by the HR function.
- Providing support and advice across the business in relation to Health and Wellness initiatives.
- Supporting the development and implementation of any other HR initiatives and systems.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Relevant qualifications in Human Resources.
- Previous experience working in a Human Resources team.
- Knowledge of the Modern Award system and National Employment Standards.
- Minimum of 3+ years’ prior experience in a generalist HR or equivalent position.
- A successful career based on building strong stakeholder and customer relationships and a commitment to providing timely, helpful, and quality advice
