Team Leader Digital Applications
The Digital Applications Team Leader is responsible for leading the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of digital applications, financial planning solutions, business intelligence platforms, and analytics capabilities. The role combines people leadership with hands-on technical expertise, ensuring that business demands are translated into sustainable digital solutions that drive operational excellence and data-driven decision-making. Besides the overall application delivery leadership, this position plays a critical role in enabling planning, forecasting, reporting, and business process digitalization as the hands-on owner of IBM Cognos Planning Analytics and related financial applications providing hands on operations support and change management activities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate the Digital Applications & Analytics team, including the Senior BI Specialist and Senior Digital Applications Specialist.
- Manage team priorities, resource allocation, workload, and project execution to ensure successful delivery of business initiatives.
- Own and lead the lifecycle of IBM Cognos Planning Analytics (TM1) related financial applications (ePCT, Planning Analytics etc.).
- Perform business analysis, solution design, development oversight, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, master data updates, and annual system setup activities.
- Coordinate with external support partners and vendors to ensure optimal service delivery and system performance whenever necessary.
- Ensure availability, performance, security, compliance, and continuity of all applications and analytics solutions within scope.
- Monitor service levels, drive root cause analysis, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to data governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Lead the design and delivery of business intelligence, reporting, analytics, automation, and digital application solutions across region leveraging Qlik, PowerBI and Power Platform solutions.
- Ensure effective utilization of platforms such as Qlik, Power BI, Power Platform, Azure Data & Analytics services, and other business applications with hands-on work in these platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and support where required to ensure critical projects and support activities are successfully completed.
- Provide L1/L2 Support for specific business applications ensuring the tools are operating smoothly, also be responsible for configuration and dataflow setup of these solutions.
- Act as the interface between business stakeholders and IT for digital applications and analytics initiatives. Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements and convert them into practical technology solutions. Drive a customer-focused culture and maintain strong engagement with business stakeholders.
- Manage regional application and analytics demand pipelines, project portfolios, vendor engagements, and service contracts.
- Lead stakeholder communication, user engagement, and change management activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through digitalization, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Drive adoption of modern data, analytics, AI, and cloud capabilities across the solution portfolio.
You bring these skills, experience & education
- Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
- Minimum 7-8 years of experience in Business Applications, Business Intelligence, Data & Analytics, Financial Systems, or Digital Solutions delivery
- Strong experience with IBM Cognos Analytics and Planning Analytics (TM1), or similar enterprise financial planning solutions
- Previous experience leading projects, initiatives, or small technical teams
- Proven experience working directly with business leadership and translating business requirements into technology solutions
- Experience managing application vendors, external partners, and service providers
- Proven experience of Qlik Sense/ Qlik View Business Intelligence platform
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and digital process automation.
- Understanding of data warehousing, analytics, cloud technologies, and Azure-based solutions.
- Familiar with AI/ML concepts and open to exploring AI-enabled tools to support rapid prototyping and digital transformation
- Solid business understanding and the ability to convert requirements into working solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with scripting, automation, API integrations in Python, JavaScript is preferable
- Experience working in an operational (run & support) as well as project-based environment
- Fluency in English
