Quality Manager
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
Plans, coordinates, and directs quality program designed to ensure quality control and quality assurance of the production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Plant Manager and/or Quality Engineer will serve as backup during vacancy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As an at-will employer, Scholle IPN reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary. Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) and Six-Sigma methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.
- Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
- Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
- Designs and implements quality training programs (e.g. Six Sigma, Kepner-Tregoe, and SPC) to key personnel in conjunction with managers.
- Investigates and maintain customer complaint records, and establish project/programs to reduce or eliminate top issues.
- Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or Quality Certification Preferred.
- SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) to five (5) years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
- The ability to excel in a fast paced, high-energy environment with constant interface with people.
- Previous experience in quality required.
- Excellent communication skills required to interact with customers, employees and other related stakeholders.
- Ability to perform visual inspection process and successfully read and apply technical material including print specifications.

- Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Frequently standing, walking and sitting.
- Frequently required the use of hands to finger, feel, reach or handle machinery.

- Visual Acuity (VA).

- Moderate working conditions.
