Continuous Improvement Technician
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Continuous Improvement Technician position assists in the coordination of Lean transformation activities, SES administration and projects, champions change, and is a resource for Lean improvement techniques. This position provides leadership, guidance, and follow-through to support the completion of departmental sustainment goals and objectives. The Sr. C.I. Manager fulfills the responsibilities of this role when vacant.

- Completes or ensures targeted administrative duties across all SIG SES Foundations and Pillars are OTIF (On Time in Full).
- Converts all hard copy boards, paperwork, etc. to digital.
- Design digital reports (i.e. PowerBI, Power Apps) and the ability to order the correct hardware and software to host digital content.
- Implement Kaizen (Lean) terminology and methodology.
- Participate in daily and week-long Kaizen Events.
- Interact with various departments, such as engineering and operations to complete assigned goals and objectives achieved during Kaizen Events or those that facilitate continuous improvement.
- Generate reports from various databases to define kaizen opportunities.
- Coordinate a variety of action items to sustain improvements made during Kaizen events.
- Work individually or as a team member to perform root cause analysis.
- Responsible for overseeing food safety.
- All staff has responsibility to correct or report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Assist with SES goals and projects.

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2 years of college courses in the field of Engineering or Business or equivalent of education and experience.
- SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- The ability to excel in a fast paced, high-energy environment with constant interface with people.
- Technology skills include the ability to design digital reports (i.e. PowerBI, Power Apps) and the ability to order the correct hardware and software to host digital content.
- The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
- Verbal and written communication skills in regards to routine reports and correspondence with employees of the organization.
- Problem solving skills with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- The ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and interpret bar graphs and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Basic computer skills knowledge, Microsoft Office Products a must.
- Good organizational skills required, along with strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy.
