Continuous Improvement Manager
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
The Continuous Improvement Manager coordinates all SES and Lean transformation activities at the facility to help drive improvement. This role champions change, and serves as a resource for lean improvement techniques. Plant Manager or CI Technician serves as backup role for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee the management of SES initiatives at the plant and help drive results.
- Coordinates Kaizen events
- Monitor 30-day follow-up activities and reports including SES initiatives.
- Assist in coordinating and leading Tier 3 meetings and other as needed,
- Work with management teams to sustain results.
- Train team leaders and associates on various lean tools and techniques.
- Be a resource of lean and SES information.
- Develop standard operation sheets and all applicable forms/flow charts created during the event.
- Maintain and update the site’s SQDC6S metrics (safety, quality, delivery, cost and 6S).
- Ensure changes conform to SIG policies and procedures.
- Maintain records of event participation by associates.
- Assist establishment of consistent approaches to enterprise direction and database.
- Responsible for overseeing food and personnel safety.
- All staff has responsibility to correct or report food safety problems to personnel with authority Execute high quality standards and continuous improvement efforts focused on minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or equivalent work experience in Manufacturing.
- SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and Power Point presentations.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
- Basic skill knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
