COMPENSATION: $65k-$85k

 

Hybrid schedule in Northlake, IL

 

We are seeking a Buyer Facility Services, MRO & CAPEX who will be responsible for managing purchasing processes for Facility Management, MRO, CAPEX, and production materials supporting the Maquila operation in Mexico. This role plays a key part in optimizing costs, ensuring supplier compliance, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and supporting business growth across the North America region.

 

The successful candidate will lead sourcing initiatives, evaluate supplier performance, improve procurement and procure-to-pay processes, and ensure alignment with SIG procurement policies and sustainability standards. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and suppliers while driving procurement excellence and operational efficiency.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage purchasing activities related to Facility Services, MRO, CAPEX, and production materials.
  • Ensure compliance between business requirements and internal customer requests.
  • Identify and evaluate suppliers to secure the best commercial and quality conditions.
  • Conduct procurement activities in accordance with SIG policies and procurement guidelines.
  • Achieve procurement KPIs established by Procurement Leadership and Global Sourcing & Procurement.
  • Evaluate supplier performance in partnership with internal stakeholders.
  • Qualify new suppliers and maintain supplier compliance documentation according to Global Procurement Policy.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilize SAP and procurement tools to monitor procurement performance and process effectiveness.
  • Participate in supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
  • Support sustainable procurement practices and environmental compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to quality procedures, GMP requirements, and SIG standards.

 

YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related functions.
  • Experience managing Facility Services, MRO, CAPEX, and supplier relationships.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier qualification, and contract management.
  • Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • English proficiency required; Spanish is a plus.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
